We have a late add to our flying calendar!
The club will be flying out at Junk Stock, the antiquing event held twice a year out in Waterloo, Nebraska, at the old, Sycamore Farms property.
You can find more information about the event here
look for our kites, and enjoy the event!
We will be flying at Youngman Park at 192nd & Dodge street this weekend.
The event is put on by the City of Omaha, and will have many events besides just the kites.
Come out and enjoy a beautiful fall day!
Come join us out at Ditmar’s Orchard in Council Bluffs.
We will be flying there barring any rain, both Saturday and Sunday – Noon to 4.
Please visit our Fly schedule page to see our upcoming dates for fly’s this fall.
We will be busy in the Omaha Area the Month of September, into October.
Saturday’s event Set to Soar over in Council Bluffs has been **Cancelled** until next year.
But we still are flying Sunday in LaVista!
We hope to see you there!
While the schedule in some ways writes itself for us all, we have confirmed dates for 2017. If you have interest in having us fly your event, please get a hold of one of us as soon as possible as we still have a bit of room.
While this last weekend did not exactly cooperate at Youngman park, we did have kites up, even in the rain!
Come join us this weekend in Papillion, at the community center – where we plan to have several members out flying. There will be candy drops – plan to come early and stay long, as this Sunday looks to be perfect weather to enjoy the day!
See you soon
While it has been a while since there was a post, we are flying out at the Omaha Parks event, Fly Into Fall at 192nd & Dodge. While it will not only be kites, this is a great family orientated event from 12 -3 PM
We will hopefully have some good pictures from this event, and our upcoming events in Papillion and LaVista the following weekends.
Enjoy the fall, and finally, cooler temperatures.
While the weather is cold, the scheduling of festivals around the Omaha area and Midwest region is heating up.
Please check out our two new schedule pages for both our Metro area festivals and Regional festivals.
We would love to come fly for your event or organization please see the Scheduling Events page for more details and contact info.
Look for more info to come on some of these events in the future.
While we had a pretty decent spring flying season, the rain did not cooperate with us for the LaVista Fly on May 3.
However, another member was lucky enough to go fly in France, and took a few shirts to friends from Italy, and so, Midwest Winds now has an Italian contingent! Its fantastic how small this world actually is, and in the end, we all share the same sky!
Have a great summer, and look for us this early fall to fly i and around the Metro area!
